A Powerful Comprehensive Marketing Plan

Successful marketing can be the difference between a good dental practice and a great dental practice. This is especially true when you are practicing comprehensive care. Think about it. When you are successful with helping your patients obtain ideal oral health you essentially work yourself out of a job. Eventually you will get to the point where your existing patients are completely restored or they are just of the ‘I will only fix something when it breaks ‘ mindset. A comprehensive marketing plan can provide your office with a consistent source of quality new patients and is absolutely critical if you are going to achieve optimal success today!

How to Become THE Dental Authority in Your Town

This past Tuesday evening I was a guest at a Holiday Dinner Celebration with a group of advisors who serve the Dental Profession. Included were Bankers, CPA’s, Practice Management Consultants, Architects, Designers, Equipment Specialists, Marketing Experts and other professionals who work with Dentists. It was a wonderful evening with a group of friends who are all deeply committed to helping Dentists succeed. I was asked by many of these professionals to summarize why our clients did so well in 2011, in spite of the soft economy. 5 Reasons You Need a Mobile Friendly Website

Your website should be on of your most productive sources of new patients for your office  the website can work 24/7 to educate and inform potential patients about why they would benefit from choosing your office for their dental care.  In addition to having a great website, part of your marketing plan should include specific strategies to direct eyeballs to your website.  Of all the things that you can do to direct traffic to your site, having a website that is enhanced for mobile devices is one of the most effective strategies.

According to Wikipedia, a mobile friendly website is one that includes the suffic .mobi in the url. Social Proof is Powerful!

In my last blog post I introduced the concept of the Net Promoter Score (NPS) as an extremely useful metric to measure the customer service experience in your practice. You determine your NPS by asking the simple question, ‘How likely is it that you would recommend our dental office to a friend or colleague on a scale of 0-10 with 10 being Extremely likely and 0 being Not at all likely.’ We are now incorporating this question as a simple exit survey and asking all patients to answer this question at the end of their appointment. I am excited to track our performance and look for ways to increase our NPS!

What is Your Net Promoter Score?

“Things that are measured, improve.”

-Bill Bowerman

University of Oregon Track Coach

Bill Bowerman was absolutely right when he said, “Things that are measured, improve”. One of the topics of great importance in the dental profession is the topic of customer service. We all aspire to deliver excellent customer service, yet this is a ticklish topic because it is difficult to measure. This blog post will present a metric to use to measure customer service in your practice. It is called your Net Promoter Score (NPS).
